What do they use to make those tattoos in "The Beach" with leonardo dicaprio?

that was ash. thats how the indians used to do it and they still do it today by profesionals. for instance, angelina jolie's tattoo on her shoulder blade is done that way. but if i were you, i would go the old fashioned way and do it by needle. i have done that and its pretty fun and doesnt hurt that much. make sure you use india ink and NOT PEN OR PRINTER INK. those can give you serious infections. have fun :)
