Do you get arrival/departure stamps as a green card holder?

Lawful permanent residents with "green cards" are required to travel with a pport from their country of nationallity and the POE officers are required to stamp their pports upon each arrival. Most officers are trained to ask each traveler how long they have been out of the US and record that amount of time in the admission stamp, especially if it is over 180 days. There never were any departure stamps. The records ARE stored in the electronic Arrival and Departure Information System (ADIS) that officers can utilize to determine how long a person has remained out of the US.
