1.what happens to a volcano after eruption?

well it takes a long time for the volcano to settle down. when the magma chamber is empty it falls silent again, and the magma chamber will eventually fill up again in a large amount of time, the magma chamber fills up when a plate subducts beneath another plate if it is a stratovolcano. it is a cycle that repeats itself to the volcano, but the volcano causes allot of damage to property and the globe,as aerosols (ash) and ges such as carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide can cause global cooling and global warming. the aerosols stay in the atmosphere for a long period, but eventually disappear in years to come,it depends on the size of the volcano also,if it is a stratovolcano like Pinatubo (which caused temperatures throughout the globe to drop as much as 2 digress, which is large on a global scale)the effects would not be as dramatic. but if an extremely large volcano was to erupt like Yellowstone national park, which is a caldera which sits on a hot spot, were to erupt, there could be possibly be an ice age,and then after that serious global warming which would melt ice caps and cause sea levels to rise.
