Is CSI Las Vegas Apropriate for 11 year olds?

My parents banned me from the show because its too "Gory" and 11 year olds shouldnt be waching it but I am very mature and I can handle it.I need some one else to give their oppinion. CAN MATURE 11 YEAR OLDS WACH CSI: LAS VEGAS???
