Would you consider buying a rescue horse for your first horse?

I really love this horse! Her name is Rosie and she is a rescue horse! I really want to buy her but she will be my first horse and I'm not sure if I should get a rescue horse as my first horse... Shes really laid back and I would board her at a ranch were there's lots of experienced horse people! So they would help me but do you think it's a good idea? HELP!
