Chemistry help pleasee?

hey everyone :) i need help with an acid question. i know that when an acid dissolves in water, it releases hydrogen ions, right? so, for example.. hydrochloric acid is dissolved in water, and the equation is: HCl -> H+ (aq) + Cl- (aq). btw, 'aq' stands for aqueous. so anyway, what is the equation of ascorbic acid (C6H8O6) when it is dissolved in water? thank you sooo much :)
